Happy Thanksgiving Break!

Hello, young Mozarts! Firstly, thank you to all of those who were able to attend our ice cream social last Sunday. Mark your calendars, our next NAfME meeting is on December 12th from 6-8pm (Room TBA). At 6pm we will be having refreshments along with a study session. We are going to have Sheri Cain presenting at 7pm. Hope to see you all there! Lastly, there are some updates regarding dues, so be sure to read to the end.

Guest Speaker, Sheri Cain (Maddie's Mom):

Sheri Cain is an elementary and middle school orchestra director in the Blue Valley school district, as well as part of the artistic staff for the Kansas City Youth Symphony. In 2018, she was named MoASTA's "Elementary Educator of the Year." She will be presenting for us and answering our questions. Can't wait to see you all there!

NATIONAL & CHAPTER DUES

Hello everyone! With the end of the semester rapidly approaching, I wanted to send out this reminder to make sure that you pay your national dues! Also, we finally have our chapter dues established for this semester! Please pay $20 to our KU-NAfME Venmo (@KUNAfME_C) by December 9th, 2022! Additionally, once you have paid both the national dues and chapter dues please fill out this quick Google Form with proof of payment.

If you are having trouble with any dues please do not hesitate to contact me or anyone on the executive team to get help! Also, here is a short video tutorial to help everyone walk through the process of paying national dues.

Lastly, please note that you are required to pay national dues & chapter dues to attend the KMEA workshop on February 23rd - February 25th. Failing to pay chapter dues by December 9th, 2022 will result in a price increase from $20 to $25. Failure to pay chapter dues by December 31st, 2022 will result in membership termination and ineligibility for the KMEA workshop.

To be able to attend KMEA, you MUST pay chapter and national dues. Any questions about dues can be directed to our treasurer, Jack Starcke ([email protected]). For those who have not attended before, the convention will be held in Wichita at the Century II arena. We will have more infomation soon, for now keep your calendars open Feburary 23rd-25th.
